Britney rushed to hospital for birth

Britney Spears was rushed to hospital on Monday night because she was reportedly suffering from preeclampsia, a prenatal condition involving dangerously high blood pressure in the late stages of pregnancy. "The delivery was not planned," a family friend told In Touch magazine. "It became urgent. Britney and Kevin did not want to take any chances." The pop star had scheduled a C-section for later this month, but her condition became threatening. "She had a bad case and it became dangerous, but mother and baby are doing well." Britney and husband Kevin Federline welcomed a 6 pound 11 ounce brother for Sean Preston, who will celebrate his first birthday this week.
