JT and Jessica: just friends (for now)

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are just having fun, according to a source close to Timberlake. Rumors of a romance between the two began earlier this month when Biel went backstage at the singer's San Diego concert and continued to surface when the Illusionist star flew to Park City to snowboard and hang out. "It's all about having fun," a source told People mag. "He's trying to have a good time... He is in no way looking to be in a relationship. He's single and happy." Biel is reported to be the source of a well-publicized spat between Timberlake and recent ex Cameron Diaz at Prince's Golden Globes afterparty, where Biel told Timberlake's mom, "He is sooo cute!" I can't say I disagree.

My First Online-Buy

Hmm, how to start? OK, to begin with, I am extremely cautious shopper. I analyse over every little detail of item -like the colour, the cut, the weight, the practicality, how often will I wear it, when will I get sick of it etc., until even my parents get fed up with me and tell me to just buy whatever it is. Also, even though I spend an abnormally large amount of my line window-shopping online all the time, I have never been brave enough to actually buy anything online -that was until a few weeks ago.

So a few weeks ago at the end of my Christmas break, I was looking through the net-a-porter sale. I looked at clutches first, since I figured if I was ever to buy anything online, it would be a bag, and clutches are usually cheaper than other types of bags. Plus I haven't bought an evening bag in almost two years and I'm terribly picky. So imagine my surprise when the first 'sale' page that I looked, there was a Miu Miu clutch that I actually liked and most importantly, it was affordable! So after imagining myself using it for a few days, encouragement from my sister and mum, and knowing that net-a-porter is extremely trust-worthy, I clicked the buy button.
The package arrived one day later than estimated, but it was all good. The clutch turned out a tiny bit smaller than I thought -it could just fit my already-tiny Samsung mobile phone. But I have come to accept that it is one of those little lipstick clutches. I love the velvet, which makes it look so classy. It's small, chic and girl-looking without being too cutsey. All in all, it was a fantastic experience. Now I really feel like I'm living in the twenty-first century!

Tell me about your online-shopping (or online-window shopping) experiences! Are you as obsessed as I am?

Courtney punk'd by Idol prankster

Yesterday's reports that Courtney Love was contacted as a possible replacement for Paula Abdul on American Idol have been debunked. Love claimed she had been contacted by Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe about the gig last week. "He called," Love said. "He was wondering if I was interested. I thought it was kind of weird but brilliant." Today Lythgoe offered a statement to Us mag denying the call. "I did not call Courtney Love and am afraid someone may have misrepresented me," the Idol producer said. "Courtney Love is a very talented artist, but the judges for American Idol are Paula, Randy and Simon. We have no plans to add to or replace any of them." When contacted for comment, Love admitted, "It was probably a prank."

Fashion Shoes. What should we expect from the next season?

shoes tendenciesExamining footwear models of a new season, one can get cultural shock. But there are strong reasons for compromises and even gentle affection towards bulky boots, to jackboots and to dizzy high heels.

Designers, especially Mark Jacobs and Prada tried to create art-objects of footwear, which you can wear in in theory, but it's better simply to admire them. Those shoes are proving female's royalty and the right to be capricious. Such girls just stamp their little feet, sponges blows, order and stay in an eternal reflection. And fashionable footwear is their best ally.

FashionTime has revealed 9 attributes of fashionable footwear:

1. All kinds of footwear have a tankette or a platform.
2. Extremely high heels (10-12 cm).
3. The narrow noses.
4. Shoes let you "to show" the world your fashionable leggings or knitted stockings, besides they are very functional and will look perfectly even with a dress.
5. With gaiters or leggings you can wear new-pumps, the most fashionable of them are with leopard print and "French finger ".
6. Orthopedic footwear. The rule is: the more original design, the more fashionable. The best illustrators are Marc Jacobs (with a gold tankette), Louis Vuitton (with boots on a wavy platform), Jil Sander (classic men's boots on a platform), Prada, Balenciaga.
7. The colors are grey, black, red, metallic. A structure: a varnish, textiles, exotic animals' leather. Print: leopard, cell.
8. High jackboots, we should wear with short dresses.
9. Extremely sexual shoes, similar to striptease footwear, we should combine them with easy Look dress.

Shoes with the srtasses, the oblique heels, tankettes without a platform is footwear that you should avoide the next season. If you like decorations, use lists, fur pompons and metal buckles and rivets.

The designers confidently tell us, that the fashion is not going to back in habitual channel. So you should better buy platforms, tankettes and very high heels for the future. In fact besides the basic duties they are called to counterbalance volumetric clothes (skirts, sleeves, A-silhouettes). Everything is interconnected.

A $50 million wrongful death lawsuit has been filed against Brandy by the parents of a woman killed in a car accident involving the talent show host. The suit alleges Brandy "was driving recklessly" when she rear-ended a car on an LA freeway which caused a chain reaction that ultimately killed the woman. Yesterday, investigators publicly recommended Brandy be charged with vehicular misdemeanor manslaughter without gross negligence. "The accident was a terrible tragedy and Brandy's heart goes out to [the victim]'s family," the singer's rep said in a statement. "But for legal reasons we cannot comment on this lawsuit." Brandy could face up to a year in jail if charged and convicted.

JLo and first husband ordered into arbitration

An LA judge ordered yesterday that the dispute between Jennifer Lopez and her first husband Ojani Noa over Noa's proposed tell-all book be settled in private arbitration. Noa claims his book, The Unknown Truth: A Passionate Portrayal of a Serial Thriller, wouldn't be encompass intimate details of the couple's sex life but would be "my story...of meeting her, being in love...and the pain" of her alleged infidelity. "I am not the type of person to write something sexually like that," the ex-waiter said. "They say I am going to damage her name. I would never do that." When asked if his manuscript contained claims Lopez cheated on him, Noa told the New York Daily News, "Everyone in town knows about the cheating... I would tell about the pain I felt." Both parties are to return to court at the end of July to report the progress made in private arbitration.

Paris sues to have website shut down

Paris Hilton took legal action yesterday to shut down The website hosts a collection of the socialite's private photos, videos, letters, bank statements, medical records and even her passport. In a federal lawsuit, Hilton says she put the items in a 6,000-sq-ft storage unit two years ago when she and her sister were moving house, and claims the moving company should have been paying the storage fees. "I was appalled to learn that people are exploiting my and my sisters' private personal belongings for commercial gain," the heiress said in a statement, adding that she feared the items could be used "to steal my identity, or even worse, to harass or stalk me." Hilton's rep said the Simple Life star hopes the site will be shut down and "all of these items returned to her."

Posh to design shoes and bags

Looks like Victoria Beckham has found something to keep herself occupied once she and her family move to LA so her husband David can play soccer for the LA Galaxy - the former Spice Girl will design a line of bags and shoes. Beckham, who signed on to the project for a reported $6.4 million, already has a line of jeans and sunglasses, as well as a range of bags sold in Tokyo. "Victoria's a real stickler for detail so everything will be perfect," a souce told a British paper. "Her shoes will be as sexy as Christian Louboutin's - there's a huge buzz about them over here." Beckham toasted her success at the Ivy with BFF Katie Holmes while she was in LA househunting earlier this month. "Katie was so thrilled for Victoria. The move to Los Angeles may seem like it's all about David's career but she isn't resting on her laurels. Her fashion projects were going great guns in Europe. And to have landed such a major US deal before she and her family have even moved there is amazing. And it'll open doors to other great things. Her A-list pals will be seen wearing her designs so a clothes range is a natural progression."

Gwen talks babies and weight

Gwen Stefani spoke to UK Elle mag about losing her baby weight, being a new mom and being married to a rock star. A few excerpts:

On her public pregnancy: "It was weird being pregnant in a fishbowl situation. Especially on days when you feel really fat and disgusting and not cute. Pregnancy was challenging in a way I didn't expect. I was on tour and I was so sick. It was like PMS times a million."

On baby weight: "I worked out with my trainer throughout my whole pregnancy until about two weeks before. I cried during my last session. I was like, 'I can't breathe, I can't do this anymore. What am I doing?' It was crazy. All my life I had to work hard to stay in shape. I've always struggled with it. I was a little chubby when I was younger, and I didn't want to be that person forever. I became a swimmer at school - but only because I wanted to be skinnier! I'm extremely vain. I like wearing cute clothes."

On getting her body back: "There aren't any tricks, it's simple math: you put this much food in, you burn that much working out. I gave myself three months - but if I didn't have an album coming out, there's no way I would have gotten back into shape in that time. I worked out with my trainer five days a week, with weekends off. I would really recommend doing weights. I'm not into yoga and pilates - they don't work for me and I don't have the patience. I'm more like a man. I like going to the gym and lifting weights or doing a little boxing."

On Kingston and Shiloh's playdate: "Yeah! They were like two little blobs when they met. Maybe they'll get married when they grow up? That'd be cute!"

On the Hollywood body ideal: "It sucks that that's what is supposed to look good and that's what everyone strives to be. There's more to life than being on a diet. Clearly, I spend time thinking about it, and it's something I've had to deal with in my life. As I get older, I try not to focus on it, it's boring, it's a waste of life. What I have learned is that whether I'm fatter or thinner, people seem not to mind, they like me either way. It's more in your own mind than anyone else's."

On being married to Gavin Rossdale: "There are negatives and positives, but for the most part, it works. He can tell me about things going well or badly and I can totally relate to that. We were very lucky to find each other and we have this ongoing crazy love affair, with its peaks and valleys, like everyone else's... Having Kingston has been the most romantic thing to have happened to us."
