Cameron's long legal battle finally over
Cameron Diaz's long legal battle with the photographer who attempted to sell topless pictures of her is finally over. Diaz sued over the images in 2004, when the photographer offered to sell the 10-year-old photos back to the star for $3.3 million. When she refused, he then offered to sell them to a European advertising company for $5 million, and Diaz responded with legal action. In response, the photographer countersued, claiming Diaz had expressed an interest in buying the shots and had lured him into a trap. He was subsequently arrested, convicted of forgery, perjury and attempted grand larceny, and imprisoned. Diaz's publicist recently confirmed that the actress was awarded damages in the case in March.
