Man Fashion Tips: Buying clothes for your plus size girlfriend

If you guys are thinking of getting your ladies great plus size fashion this Christmas, but don’t know where to start, then don’t worry because help is at hand. Here’s your guide to keeping it simple this festive season.

Size is everything!

First things first, you need to know her size before you take to the shops. Some women have one size for the top and another for the bottom, so subtly try asking her for these. There’s no point going to the store without her measurements and there’s nothing worse than coming back with an outfit too small, or heaven forbid, too big!

Keep them figure-hugging and curvalious!

If you’re thinking of buying your Missus a dress this winter or one of those funky, in-trend Christmas jumpers, then make sure you keep her fabulous curves in mind. Buy a dress that nips in at the waist and why not go that bit further and get a glamorous belt –she’ll love you for being thoughtful.

One thing that every girl loves!

Shoes! A safe bet, no matter what her size or shape. If you buy her a pair of shiny sparkly heels, then you can’t wrong. Note, this doesn’t include slippers!

Man Fashion: Common Silly Mistakes to Avoid in Mens Fashion

Some of us always been classified as special group of human being that are less fashion conscious by our opposite sex (except minority). Whether we like this statement or not, we do find some of the silly fashion mistakes that made by most of the men on the street. So we thought like share out just few with some of the readers here.

Novelty Tie? Come on, Pianos or guitars should never be depicted on a tie. We know Christmas is at the corner, but try to avoid anything with festive tag on to it.

Watch out for trousers! never be too short or too long. Rule of thumb is to rest hemlines of trousers on the laces of your shoes.

Do you still notice some suit with label on sleeve? Remove this unecessary label from the blazer of your suit immediately. We are not full models for fashion designers, we should be judge by the look and style, not by the brand! :)

Watch out for our next review on common silly mistakes in men fashion.

5 Ways for Men to Dress Slimmer

Larger guys can easily give the impression of being much thinner than they are, simply by wearing certain clothes.

And the Jacamo plus size mens clothing range has plenty of items to choose from that will result in a genuinely slimming effect.

Here are 5 tips to help you choose the right Jacamo plus size mens clothing.

1.       Stripes

There is a golden rule with wearing stripes... Horizontal: No. Vertical: Yes.

Vertical stripes will make your silhouette look longer and slimmer.

Horizontal stripes, however, will have the opposite effect and make anyone look larger than they are...

2.       Jackets

A single-breasted jacket will make you look far slimmer than a double-breasted one; this is because people’s eyes will automatically focus on the centre point.

Also, try to avoid jackets or blazers that are double-vented as this will draw unnecessary attention to your bottom!

3.       Sizes

NEVER try and squeeze into a size that is too small!

Wearing clothing that is overly tight will look terrible and you will feel very self-conscious.

4.       Belts

Belts are a very important accessory!

You should always wear one as it will hold your waistline and ensure that your trousers hang correctly!

5.       Colours

Wearing contrasting colours will immediately draw attention to the joins between your clothes, i.e. your stomach...

Stick to shades that are more similar to one another.

How to Wear Mens Trainers....Properly!

At one time, mens trainers would only be worn in the gym, but not anymore. Everyone is fully aware of how

comfortable this type of footwear is and trainers are now seen wherever we go. But of course, it isn’t just

about comfort... if you are going to wear a pair of trainers, then you will want them to look good as well. Here

are a few bits of advice to help you to get it right and to avoid an unpleasant run-in with the Fashion Police...

Classics are Good!

Classic mens trainers will go with just about any type of clothing, so they are always a very safe choice.

A basic, single-coloured design, such as the Converse lace-up, will look great with oodles of different

garments; right from jeans or Chinos to pressed or tailor-made trousers.

Watch Out For ‘Hybrids’!!!

In sci-fi movies, alien/human hybrids should normally be avoided at all costs. They are ugly, horrid and intent

on taking us all over! Well, it is pretty much the same situation in the world of footwear; except perhaps, that

hybrid trainers are not normally intent on world domination...

Seriously though, clunky genetically modified cross-bred mens trainers really aren’t cool. In fact, they will

often look downright geeky. It is advisable to completely avoid this type of footwear.

‘(Don’t) Sock it to me Baby!’

Visible Socks + Mens Trainers = Uber Bad Move. If you do need to wear socks with your trainers, then invest in a pair of low-cut ones. This will mean that your feet will remain comfortable and sweat-free without causing any insult to the more ‘style conscious’.

After all, some of us have principles...

‘Roll Up! Roll Up!’

If (and only if) you can wear your mens trainers without any offensive socks on show, then you will be able to

take your image a step further (excuse the pun)...

Try donning a pair of cropped trousers (or rolling up the bottoms of your jeans) to draw greater attention to

your trendy pumps! By creating a hem that reveals a small amount of ankle, you will give a tailored silhouette

to your trainers, making them stand out (sorry, another pun) even more!

Shelling Out on the Wrong Clothes...

In the world of stylish footwear, there is only one other crime that is equally heinous to having visible socks...

and this is wearing your mens trainers with a shell-suit. You may find it amusing to think of someone dressed

in this manner, but it really isn’t a laughing matter. Shell-suits were the thing to wear with a pair of trainers at

one time (as unbelievable as this may seem), but thankfully we have now moved on.

If you are ever unfortunate enough to have a brush with anyone wearing this ridiculous type of outfit, then it

can have a genuinely detrimental effect on your day. So always choose your clothes wisely and try to have a

little respect for other people!

Man Fashion: New Era Caps for Fashionista Like You

When it comes to summer, the new era caps are the most popular choice of hip hop and sports fanatics. So what are new era caps basically?

The new era caps are the largest sports-licensed headwear company in the United States. The company is the premier cap provider for MLB, as well as a number of NBA and NHL franchises, plus a handful of major collegiate athletic programs.

Before we go further to commit our money into this fanatic caps, let look at what are the primary buying tips.

One of the first things that you should check is the quality of workmanship of your New Era cap. Examine the top of the hat and look at the top button. The button should be centered with the seams. If it is not, there is a good possibility that the cap is a fake.

In addition, check the quality of the stitching on the cap. On all authentic New Era Caps, the stitching will be smooth, dense, and tight. A good way to examine the quality of the stitching is to check out the stitching of the New Era logo. If it is uneven, crooked and/or seems to contain gaps between stitches, the hat is most likely a fake. Since the logo is one of the top branding factors, you can bet that New Era gets this right every time.

Next, check out the profile of your New Era 59Fifty fitted cap. The crown should be high and rounded. Inferior quality, imitation caps almost always tend to have a much lower profile and can actually look a bit flat across the crown.

You should also examine the New Era tag that is stitched on the inside of the cap. The edges should be stitched evenly, and the tag should lie smooth with no bunching at the edges. Crooked stitching that goes beyond boundaries most likely indicates a fake. You should also check for the New Era hologram on the underside of the brim of the hat. If your cap is missing this, it is probably an imitation.

In short, please put some common sense, time to examine these new era caps before you shelll out your hard earned money.

Man Fashion Tips: How to Spot Fake Levi's 501 Jeans?

There has been an outbreak of knock-off items over the past few years. Started from clothing to handbags and shoes. Unfortunately, one of the with One of the most popular items of clothing has been Levi's. To Levi's fan like us, we find it extra careful when we get our jeans online.

Most imitate Levi's are 'Vintage' Levi's 501s with all or some of the details that make real vintage Levi jeans valuable. These can include:

-The Red Tab with capital 'E" which date real levi's to pre-1971

-V-Stitch near the top button. Another vintage characteristic

-Buckle on the rear (Buckleback)

-Bar tacked Rear Pockets

These imitate Levi's are mostly come from Asia countries where they are made with cheap labor and materials. The denim used for the most part is of average quality, if not better than average. But the hardware used: Buttons, rivets, etc. are normally of inferior quality.

A quick search on eBay will almost always reveal anywhere from 2 to 3 fake pieces to almost 100 in some cases. eBay seem to be doing very little in trying to remove these items from their site, or in fact, it is almost impossible to identify all these imitation. Nevertheless, we would like to share some of the obvious areas that you could spot easily.

1. Number on back of top button:

Almost always stamped '501' off-center or not stamped at all. While some non-vintage authentic Levi's 501s may have this stamped on them, vintage big 'E' will always have a single digit or letter stamped (6, 5, 2, W) or blank, but if it is blank, there are usually punch marks on it.

2. Elongated 'V-Stitch' on fly:

Another common characteristic of fakes

3. Rear Patch:

The rear patch on the right hip can also give clues to whether or not the garment is authentic.

4. Material:

If it is a hard leather like material, the jeans are suspect. Unless the jeans are from the 1930s and the patch has a 'jerky' look to it, very few other Levi's have or had a real leather like patch. Although this is not a surefire way of telling because some in the LVC (Levi vintage clothing line) and ones produced in places other than the United States (Japan, Canada for example) did actually come with a hard leather patch.

5. Labeling:

Another clue is the printing on the patch. If the patch material seems authentic, most times the printing is not. It is either off center, spelling mistakes, or barring all of that not being present they are labeled '501-0657' in black ink. If the jeans are anything other than black 501s from the 1980s - if they have that on the label than they are fake.

Of course talk is easy, but how to differentiate when come to actual piece? Thanks to jhahn1234 who shared a video in YouTube.

Buy genuine Levi's 501 online with reliable site like Amazon:-

Man Fashion: How to Attract Women with Your Wardrobe?

These days more so than ever before, men are defined by their fashion sense. While older generations of men may have had their own fashionable styles and eras, there is no time better than now to express yourself through what you wear. And while the key to a woman's heart remains personality and charm, a first impression is almost always based upon one's looks. In other words, you are what you wear.

While this sounds a bit intimidating, it doesn't have to be, as gearing your wardrobe towards attracting women can be as easy as switching your socks. For others, it can mean overhauling the way they dress completely. First and foremost, the most important thing you can do for yourself to attract women is to wear clothing that fits you correctly. This may seem obvious, but many people actually walk around in clothes that are either too big or too small for them. Either way, it is far from flattering.

When putting together a wardrobe, diversity is important, but for men, consistency always wins. Have a favorite pair of pants? Pick up five pairs, all in different colors. Do the same for your favorite plain shirt, as well as your dress shirts. Dressing consistently says to the people you see on a daily basis that you've found your style and you're comfortable with it. Women like men who are confident; men who are comfortable with what they wear.

That being said, it doesn't hurt to have a clothing item in your arsenal that will turn heads. Not necessarily something outlandish, but something that the normal work-a-day businessman is not going to be seen wearing as he walks out of the coffee shop. Standing out from the crowd in a tasteful way is an excellent way to attract a woman's attention. This could be as simple as a quirky tie, a pair of sunglasses, or a stylish men’s ring.

Also important is to keep up with styles as they change. Many people are have gotten into the rut of buying an entire wardrobe worth of clothing and wearing it year after year until well after it goes out of style. If you show up at a party looking like you belong in the last decade, you may turn heads with the ladies, but it won't be for the reasons you want to. Staying on top of the latest trends in fashion shows women that you are confident in the way you dress and that you care about looking good.

All of this said, making yourself attractive to women is not a difficult thing to do. The most important thing you can do for yourself is to make sure that your appearance is neat and it looks like you put some effort - not a lot, just enough - into how you look for the day. Exude confidence, and chances are that women will be falling over you.

Man Skin Care Tips: Problem with Wrinkles?

What if I told you that five years from now your face could look younger than it does today? I know that it sounds ridiculous, but exciting advances in men's skincare have made it possible for you to maintain your rugged lifestyle without suffering the aging effects of exposure to the elements. This means that you can continue to enjoy golf, hunting, fishing, camping and any other outdoor activity without worrying that the sun, wind and air pollutants are going to wreak havoc on your appearance.

We will explain in more detail in next few para with more medical and technical terms involved, but don't worry, you can decode those term from simple Google search. :)

Perhaps the most important natural ingredients in mens skincare for oily skin are Vitamin B5, also known as D-Panthenol, and witch hazel. These are two of the strongest natural healing agents and they provide "protection against sunburn, soothe irritated skin and repair the damage caused by shaving.

The logical solution for skincare for men would be to buy skincare with collagen and elastin in the ingredients since our bodies stopped producing them. However that is not the case. Men's skin is tougher and need to be treated with ingredients that are specially formulated to treat their skin. Most men do not care for their skin so it becomes dry, wrinkled and unevenly toned. I know a lot of men spend hours on end in the sun without any sunscreen protection.

There is one very fine source which helps your skin produce sufficient collagen so that it retains it elasticity and wards off lines and wrinkles from occurring. If you already have lines and wrinkles it helps to remove them. It also produces natural protein which encourages new skin cell growth and is known as the most effective anti-ageing substance there is.You will also need to find a natural substance know to protect the levels of hyaluronicacid in your body, this helps your collagen and elastin keep your skin young.

Drinking water filtered though a home water filter will prevent your skin from coming into contact with the chemicals found in our water supply. Installing a shower filter is also a good idea, as our skin's pores open up while showering in warm water, and it absorbs chemicals from the water at a faster rate in this condition.

Man Fashion: Dressing vs. Body Type

Everyone want to look smart, and they ended with continuous searching for their own fashion style. But most of us have forgot the primary important element in fashion, ie. your body outfit. So if you want look smart then you need to know which type of outfit suits your frame the best and pick clothes that give your shape the perfect, well dressed look.

So you can achieve this fashion goal of looking great and thus, feeling good at all times by learning about men body type. In this article, we will give you some trendy tips about dressing right for your body type. If you will follow our tips, you have a whole new world of haute-couture men’s fashion awaiting you – not to mention the ladies lining up to be escorted by you (just kidding, but who's know).

So, aim for knowing your body well, its flaws and tiny imperfections; then study your best features and highlight these while downplaying all the not-so-great ones. So we are here to help you to save some money to learn this instead of to consult a fashioner designer to know this; even your friendly neighborhood tailor can advise you about the right coat, trousers and shirt or jacket style for your body type.

Just ask around. Else, consult a good friend or remember what kind of clothes get you most compliments and buy more of those styles. Don’t be led by current fashion trends blindly as ramp models have very different physiques as compared to regular men. So, always select clothes that suit your particular body type i.e. lanky, stout, broad waisted or narrow hipped etc. before buying a specific style. E.g. double–breasted coats are smart, no doubt, but don’t suit those with a stocky built; bulky frame men need to go in for single-breasted jacket and suits to look trimmer. Similarly, those with a thin body should opt for a well-tailored double-breasted blazer made in thick wool to give some bulk to their frame. Men with long legs and short-waist should go in for garments that are long on the torso to balance out the overall look; similarly, those with narrow shoulders can go in for padded shoulders in coats, jackets and blazers for a fuller appearance.

Small size men should avoid wearing contrast colors as this will only draw attention to their shortness and though no-one has the perfect body, even the cover mag guys we love to hate, by dressing right, one can always give the look of being near perfect!

2010 Men Hairstyle Trends

Well, everyone are wondering what will be mens hairstyle trends in 2010? In our own opinion, here are just a few of men hairstyle trends in 2010.

Short Man’s Hairstyles

High and Tight, Fade, Spike, Clipper Cut and Crew Cut, whatever name you want to call it. We reckoned that by far the most popular man’s hairstyle in 2010 is the High and Tight or Fade.

Characterized by a closely cropped clipper cut around the sides and back of the head with just enough hair on top of the head to comb, this man’s hairstyle with its many variations accounts for about 50% of all popular styles today. With just a little bit of gel to spike up the top, mess it up a little or finger into place, this man’s hairstyle will only take you seconds to achieve.

While you may have to get it cut more often, about every three weeks or so, the ease of styling this man hair cut is what makes it a favorite among busy men today.

Medium length, textured Men’s Hairstyle

2010 hairstyle trends for men have a lot of texture and the same is true for medium-length styles (about 3 to 4 inches). These styles resemble the classic man haircut of the past, but step it up a notch by using extreme texture and color to bring it all together.

Most styles use a great deal of razoring and texturizing with notching scissors. To style this man’s hairstyle pomade usually works best. Work product through dry hair and finger into place.

Long Men’s Hairstyles

While most men do not wear their hair down their back anymore, the long man’s hair style has made a somewhat shorter comeback. Perhaps the most recognizable example that we can related to this men’s hair style is Ashton Kutcher. Long, textured and disheveled, this man hair cut is gaining widespread popularity. Again, this man’s hair cut requires a lot of texture and works best with pomade.

As you can see, the man’s hair style in 2010 is far from boring. Gone are the days of cookie-cutter barber shop man haircut. :)

Man Fashion: Men's with Economy Fashion Style

Although we always discussed about the latest fashion trends in each season and review about all the fashion designers clothing in each and single Men Fashion Week runway, we do received some e-mail on how we can achieve men fashion style and yet take good care of our wallet too.

Well, today we would like to share these 3 simple man fashion tips on how you can have both side of the world.

Buy clothes only in Seasonless fabrics

DO stock up on those that can be worn nearly all 12 months of the year, like silks, lightweight wools and knits, and sturdy, unflimsy cottons. DON’T spend serious money on summer-only (linen) or winter-only (heavy tweed) fabrics.

Introduce yourself to the most useful accessory ever

DO play with belts to remake everything--a sweater, a dress, a jacket--in your closet. Gabrielle Union's look is perfection, right? DON'T attempt to cinch in lots of excess fabric. You'll look like a paper bag tied in the middle!

Own a few cardigans

DO make sure you have several of these always-right sweaters in tissue-thin cashmere or wool like Kate's, or a nice cotton. Wear them in place of jackets--they're a whole lot cheaper! Check out sales, but... DO realize it's OK not to wait for the markdown if you find a piece you love and will wear again and again and again. DON'T get so caught up in the fact that something's on sale for $7 that you squeeze yourself into a too-tight piece and say, "It fits!"

Man Fashion Belts: Back To Basic

Men Fashion Belt is a wearing accessories that is essential of most semi formal and formal dress code. It creates additional attraction to any wearing apparels. It can make an outfit totally different in style for a great looking. Today's belts come from a variety of designers and styles as well as a multitude of prices ranges. Whether you have to wear your belt for work or dress code, or simply like the look of a belt, you can learn how to wear it properly and complete your outfit.

Identify your occasion. A formal occasion, professional environment, or a semi-formal occasion will always call for a belt. Wear a leather or other classy material for less formal occasions. Select a cloth, or other variety of casual material for daily wear.

Choose a color for your belt. Wear a black belt with every black suit or dark colored pant. Match a brown belt to khaki or other variety of brown. Use your style judgment for other colors like white, navy blue, or greens to ensure that your belt complements your outfit rather than contrasts it. Wear any belt with jeans.

Wrap your belt through all belt loops on your pants, bringing the tail around your waist to the front. Secure you belt by placing the tail end into the buckle and securing with the metal prongs or fastener. Ensure that your belt is tight enough to keep your pants up, but loose enough so as to allow your waist to be uncompressed.

Man Fashion: Were You Dress To Impress?

This is the question that I always want to ask myself and to the readers out there.

My favorite wear is this cargo pants or  button fly jeans with T-shirts, and the most with V-neck sweater or scoop neck sweater. Pack with a pair of white Converse sneaker. Of course, I do received comments from my girlfriend like "Is that what you're going to wear?" which is more like accusation than question to me!

On the other hand, I do put up designer dress suit, shirt and fashion dress shoes, and my favorite blue retro skinny tie when I attend some formal parties with my girlfriend. Oh yes, I do have maroon red as well. :)

The bottom line is I wear clothes I feel comfortable in. For me that's what dressing and fashion is all about. But for most ladies that isn't the case. I am sure you have heard that this question, "Is that what you're going to wear?" countless times. And for all you women out there, unless you're going to physically undress us and then redress us to your specifications, the answer is, "Yes, this is precisely what I'm wearing."

Not because we're (or just myself?) stubborn or provocative but because we either don't know bother or we just feel comfortable with.

End of the day, my fashion philosophy is about comfort and be my own style, as well as fit into the surrounding rather to impress. So how about you? Do share your view here.... :)

Man Fashion: 2010 Mens Color Trends

As we are catching up with trendy fashion, color become an important ingredients in mens fashion designs.

So let look what are the top 8 men fashion colors trends in Spring/Summer 2010 Collection.

I always like Black, which is no issue to match with other colors. Black also used by many mens fashion designers in their 2010 collections, being it total black, or combination of black and other lighter tones.

Greens, made popularized by Lavin in his 2010 collection. A calming and refreshing color as well as easy on the eye! That's the color we all miss during summer with it’s greenery and warmth.

My another favorite combination so far, Grey and metallic. More and more mens fashion designers adopt these colors and put aside traditional colors that we used to.

Blue always relate to guys like pink relates to ladies. So there is no accident that Blue is one of the top pick by mens fashion designers this year.

Brown is the second neutral color and it is as popular as black. Brown looks chic and sexy and this makes it so popular in 2010.

My favorite White looks good and noble but I think this color will do better in spring and summer rather than in winter season.

Red is the most popular color and it just couldn’t stay away from men fashion in day one.

Man Fashion Tips: How to Look for Designer Shoes Online?

When it comes to footwear, everyone has their favorites. For women, it may be a comfortable pair of ballet flats or a stylish trendy pair of heels. For men, a worn pair of loafers could top the list or the most comfortable pair of hiking boots. If you have ever owned a pair of Designer Shoes, then most likely, these are your favorite.

It is not difficult to find designer shoes online, but not if you are trying to get discounted price rather than the retail price from the company's website. This type of footwear come with a good sized price tag, but for very good reasons. They are simply a treat to wear and to look at. They are created with superb craftsmanship, artistic styling, but all with an attention to comfort that outdoes the competition. They are truly a unique, comfortable choice in stylish footwear. When you look at a pair from most designer's, you can see the intense quality, but when you put them on - you can feel it!

So, if you're ready to find a great deal on designer footwear, we have 2 little tips for you.

There are knockoffs available for almost every designer product available and this includes shoes. If you purchase designers shoes other from the company's website, make sure you look for authorized dealer sites, or you can also find them at some of reputable websites that deal only in designer products.

If you choose to purchase from EBay or another similar auction site, be caution. Make sure you only buy from sellers with exceptional feedback and who have sold items for quite a while. Otherwise, you're likely to end up with a pair that is only a knockoff.

In short, you can find designer shoes online, but you just have to use some caution. There is simply no comparison for their quality, comfort, and styling. You don't want to spend your hard earned money on a knockoff pair. When you find the real deal, you should get ready to have a new favorite pair in your wardrobe.

Man Fashion Tips: All About Mens Shirts

Nothing new to men's shirts, this words is around us for many years, but whether you’re walking into a department store, ordering online, or looking through a catalog, it can be confusing to figure out exactly what you need or why you need it. There are many occasions and settings, which often call for a specific dress code. So I thought of sharing with some of you a quick guide on various occasions and appropriate shirt and style options available, from men’s t-shirts to men’s dress shirts, and everything in between.

Men's Casual – An everyday look, the emphasis is style and comfort. Casual men’s t-shirts can be as simple as a plain white or boldly colored t-shirt or they can be a statement piece, with logos and embellishments, which can be paired with blazers and jean jackets and worn to night clubs and trendy parties. This style gives the most options as men’s t-shirts can worn, which includes polo shirts, golf shirts, fitted t-shirts, or more ornate or fashionable button-down shirts. Either a casual cotton t-shirt can be worn or a men’s dress shirt can be worn in a more casual manner, such as rolling the sleeves or pushing them up to the ¾ length. There are a variety of colors, logos, styles and fabrics for this dress code and offers the most liberty at creating your own personal style and allows the most self-expression. Prices can be as diverse as style, with a plain men’s t-shirt starting under $2 and designer 28t-shirts that cost between $122.00-$790.00.

Men's Dressy Casual - Men’s t-shirts should be avoided. The best shirt for this dress code can be a button-down men’s shirt, either long or short-sleeve and paired with a sports coat or blazer. Though it doesn’t offer much variety, you have more freedom with color choice, fabrics and an open-collared shirt is appropriate. Also, this means no tie should be worn, as it would be formal. Prices can be as low as $7.95 and upwards of $700.00 and the same price range for dressy casual men’s dress shirts goes for informal, business casual and traditional business men’s shirts.

• Informal/Semi-Formal/Cocktail - The dress code is less formal and calls for a dark suit, and a tie is not required. The men’s shirts best suited to this dress code are crisp, dress shirts that are long or short-sleeve. Since a tie is not needed, if one is worn it can be more bold than with a business attire. This kind of attire is perfect for cocktail parties, evening weddings or weddings that don’t state otherwise, or special events. It also lends itself well to museum openings and art galleries, or first dates and holiday parties.

Men's Business Casual - This style is the most lax of all business attire and can include a range of shirts from knitted golf shirts and polo shirts to men’s dress shirts. The shirt should be tucked in and worn with a simple leather belt. Since the attire is still business, leather shoes should be worn, though you’re not limited to lace-up shoes or simply black or brown. The color palette is more varied and vibrant. This offers more choices of what can be paired with the men’s shirt, such as cardigans, sports coats or knit sweaters. Dressy men’s long-sleeve button down shirts can also be included in this style. Polo shirts can cost $49.99-$128.00 for designer labels or department store brands. Cheaper brands cost $10-$15.

• Traditional Business - The color palette should be muted or dark earth tones; generally, navy blue, black, dark brown, gray and sandstone are the best options. This attire calls for dress shirts for men that are less formal, so a button-down shirt with a Lay-down collar is sufficient. The shirt color should be white, off-white or a muted complement to the suit. Other options include a simple vertical pinstripe pattern.

• Business Formal-The appropriate men’s shirt is a white shirt in the French-cuff style, and the shirt should be fastened with cuff links. The suit is dark and tailored, with a silk napkin square and a simple silk tie with no ornamentation or busy patterns. Prices start at $14.99, with designer mens shirts could ranging from $217.00-$700.00.

• Formal - This can be the same attire as Black Tie, with a white men’s dress shirt, or dress code can be more lenient, with suits worn without ties or worn with black dress shirts; it all depends on the city and the formality of the event. The price ranges from $29.75-$165.00.

• Black Tie - Tuxedos are worn at these events, so the perfect men’s shirt would be a tuxedo shirt. Choose either stiff cotton or linen in white or off-white. The shirt can have a stiff front or more traditionally, Marcella, plain or pleated. Tuxedo shirts can have mother-of-pearl buttons or be fastened with cuff links and shirt studs. The collar can come in Lay-down, Wing or Wingtip, or Mandarin. Prices range from $7.95-$225.
