Owen Wilson issued a statement requesting privacy this afternoon after he was hospitalized on Sunday for undisclosed reasons. "I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time," Wilson said in the statement. Wilson was hospitalized in "good condition" at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, the hospital's spokeswoman told Extra and the Associated Press. She didn't give the reason for his admission. Star magazine and the National Enquirer allege the Wedding Crashers star attempted suicide and was taken to St. John's hospital in Santa Monica by ambulance after police and paramedics responded to a 911 call shortly after noon. According to the report, a family member found Wilson with a sliced left wrist. He also allegedly took an unknown quantity of pills. Santa Monica police refused to provide details but confirmed that a person was transported to hospital for treatment. Wilson was reportedly transferred to Cedars-Sinai in stable condition after his wrist was sutured and bandaged.
